*Star Gazing (Highland) Enjoy a fun evening indoors and outdoors with the Riverbend Astronomy Club at Korte Rec Center. Bounce house and crafts in the gym.
Paint with Bob (Staunton) They will cue an episode of The Joy of Painting and start and stop the episode while painting along with Bob Ross. All materials are included for this 2 hour session at the Macoupin Art Collective. Class is for ages 14+ Cost:$30.
TriadStrong 5K and Kids Fun Run at Silver Creek Elementary. Part of Proceeds will go to Logan Kowalski to help his fight against Leukemia. Entry fees: Fun Run$15, 5K is $25 until 11/8 and $35 after 11/8.
Edwardsville High School Craft Fair (Collinsville) will take place at Collinsville Gateway Center. There will be over 250 vendors with items. Entry Fee: $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and military veterans. Children 12 and under are free. Masks must be worn. Proceeds benefit the Edwardsville High School Band Program. Tortured Soles (Collinsville) trail running series brought by RunWell, a local running store. The runs are not timed. You can run or walk at least 4 miles to earn a raffle ticket into the drawing. Each raffle ticket earns a chance to win cool prizes from RunWell. Those who attend all 5 trail runs and complete 4 miles or more at each run will earn a 2021 Tortured Soles finishers plaque. *618 Pink (Madison County) a small business spin on the traditional Black Friday shopping experience, reminding people to #ShopSmallFirst. Black Friday is the largest shopping day of the year, but the sales and promotions from big box stores often overshadow the experiences that small businesses are focused on providing. Local Businesses involved in this event: Boheme Boutique, Plan Shop Live, The Charlie Belle Shop, Blow It Out on Main, and Seams For The Soul Boutique.
*Tree Lighting at Lincoln-Douglas Square will begin with the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus at 6pm. Free festivities include caroling, cookies, and hot cocoa. At 6:45pm, Mayor David Goins will flip the lights on the tree. Families can take pictures with Santa. Free horse and carriage rides will be from 7-9pm.
A Cozy Car Christmas at Edwardsville High School. Holiday season approaches along with an opportunity for you and your loved ones to enjoy some Christmas classics from the warm comfort of your car! A double feature showing Home Alone and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation will be played during the event. Alongside the films they will also have food vendors, contests, and other goodies! Tickets $50-$150
Boot Skootin’ Boogie Barn Dance (Collinsville) enjoy a bonfire and boogie to your favorite country tunes at Willoughby Farm. There will be a 30 minute instructional dance before the dance begins. Edwardsville High School Dance Clinic is hosted by the EHS Varsity Dance Team at Jon Davis Wrestling Center in Edwardsville. Clinic is $35 early registration before October 29th and $40 at the door. This is for grades K-8th.

Once you visit all businesses on the trail map, you can turn in your map (with all businesses checked off) to the Gazebo at the Downtown Square to be entered into a drawing for a $50 Chamber gift certificate. Free event and the first 100 participants will receive a canvas tote bag. Event is by the Highland, IL Chamber of Commerce.

*Holiday Open House (Glen Carbon) will have a visit Santa, have a caricature done of your family, pet friendly therapy dogs, make some crafts, and take home a sweet treat. To ensure social distancing, they will be limiting families to half an hour in the library, but Glen Carbon Library will have the option to bring supplies home to finish crafts. Facemasks will be required. Activities will be throughout the library to provide the necessary social distancing. Registration required.
*Santa Claus (New Douglas) is Coming to Town at New Douglas Community Center (209 S. Main St). Bring your list and visit Santa. They will be collecting canned food for our Christmas Basket. You are welcome to bring food items but not required.

Dashin’ Thru The Lights 5K Fun Run/Walk (Roxana) wear holiday attire at this family friendly event. There will be cookies and hot chocolate after the event. Cost is $15 per participant. Arctic Express (Edwardsville) has professional photo with Santa, a ride on a trackless train, cocoa/coffee, arctic sculptures created by children in the community, a professional chainsaw artist carve a tree in the Discovery Garden, reindeer food, and a new exhibit. Wristbands to the event cost $5 per person over 1 yrs old. They can be purchased either by booking a photo time or on the website.
Cookie Decorating Class (Highland) We will be decorating 6 Santa themed cookies as seen on the linked page. This is a beginner level class. Frosty 5K and Merry Mile (Bethalto) is a holiday themed 5k and Merry Mile running event. All proceeds for this event will go to the Melissa Cafazza Memorial Scholarship Fund at Civic Memorial High School. Melissa "Missy" was an active community contributor, fitness enthusiast and avid runner. The events will begin at 5pm near City park. Runners and walkers will enjoy the Holiday themed lights and decorations in and around the park.
Photos and More (Edwardsville) at We Rock the Spectrum in Edwardsville. There will be snacks, a photo op, a “snowball fight”, and more! $30/Child. Registration Required. Call or message on facebook to reserve a spot.

Winter Wonderland Extravaganza with Santa, Mrs. Claus, Olaf, and Kristoff. Takes place at the Leclaire Room. Each child will receive a professional digital photo with Santa & Mrs. Claus by professional photographer, snacks, and cookies with milk. Each paid admission will also receive a stocking to fill with goodies as they visit each station – Kristoff & Olaf, Santa & Mrs. Claus, DIY igloo photo booth, create your own reindeer food, ornament making, and letters to Santa. Paid admission will also allow access to the Christmas Vendor Marketplace.

- 8:30 - Fun Begins!! Cardboard Sled Race. Put together a one-of-a-kind sled with a team of friends, family, or co-workers. Entry is $10.00 per sled. Proceeds go to Collinsville Parks. Register your team!
- Three virtual reality stations featuring the games Beat Saber, The Climb 2, and Vader Immortal. Prizes will be given for the high score for each game.
- Timed Jigsaw Puzzle competition. Put your team of two together and compete against each other for prizes. Register your team!
- Dog Dash - harness up your beast and have them pull the owner across the finish line. We will have two size divisions. Register your team!
- Snowball fling and other snow related games.
- Paper Snowflake Contest. We are looking for that one paper snowflake that stands out above all others! It can be big, small, plain, or bedazzled. We will have materials on hand. More information to come on this competition.
