Happy Up Toy Storewill have a live reindeer. Portraits will be available for purchase. Due to the weather or reindeer needs, the schedule may shift. So it’s a good idea to call to double check if all is well before you make the trip. (618) 656-9596.
*Visit Santa Santa is moving to a bigger, warmer and more comfy house! Well, a station to be exact! Santa will be at the Nickel Plate Station in front of the Lewis and Clark N.O. Nelson Campus off Troy Road. He will visit on Wednesdays from 5:30-8pm and Saturdays from 1-4pm. While Santa is at the Nickel Plate Station, the Into the Arctic Express Exhibit hosted at the station through the Edwardsville Children's Museum will also be FREE!
*Christmas Village has a half mile walking path through lighted trees and decorated cottages to the sounds of live Christmas music. Have your photo taken with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and visit the nativity. The event is free, but donations are appreciated. Arboretum (E. Central St.) Free!
Mac's Family Fun Time will be celebrating their Grand Opening with a special open house on Small Business Saturday! Each person will receive one free small frozen custard (or Dole Whip) cone!

*Pictures with Santa Claus will have live animals to pet, hot chocolate and cookies for everyone. Also, one LUCKY attendee will win a $500 Burromax Electric Mini Bike! At Woodcrest Small Engine.
*Cookie Crumb Trail businesses around Highland Square will have cookies for participants to sample and a recipe card to take home. Once you visit all businesses on the trail map, you can turn in your map (with all businesses checked off) to the Gazebo at the Downtown Square to be entered into a drawing for a $50 Chamber gift certificate. Photos with Santa, Petting Zoo (11am-3pm), Bounce Houses, Winterville Children’s Activities, and Food and Drinks from Taylor’s Fire and Smoke BBQ, The S’mores Shack, and Wood River Police Association. First 100 participants will receive a canvas tote bag. Event is by the Highland, IL Chamber of Commerce.
*Finley Flooring will have photos with Santa and his Reindeer, hot cocoa, apple cider, cookies, a gingerbread house workshop, ornament decorating, and raffles at Finley Flooring.
*Winter Market (Maryville) is hosted by Elvis! An awesome evening of local vendors, food, beverages and booze, entertainment and celebrate the holiday “Vegas” style! Shop, eat, drink and be merry and raise some money for Maryville organizations!
*The Grinch and Legos will start with The Grinch movie (snacks & drinks provided) at noon. Then at 1:30 we will start lego club. **Due to Roxana's half day lego club will be from 1:30-2:30pm. Roxana Public Library will go back to regularly scheduled lego club next month.
The Sanctuary On Main- Wedding Chapel and Event venue
will host a picture opportunity with Santa and Mrs. Claus when participants contribute to the Glen Ed Pantry.
*Winter Market (Edwardsville) will feature artisans, baked goods, crafters, locally grown items, boutique gifts, and products from within our community. Exclusive items and games! Come win some prizes in downtown edwardsville! Located where the spring/summer market is held!
*Holiday Open House (Glen Carbon) will have a visit Santa, have a caricature done of your family, pet friendly therapy dogs, make some crafts, and take home a sweet treat. To ensure social distancing, they will be limiting families to half an hour in the library, but Glen Carbon Library will have the option to bring supplies home to finish crafts. Facemasks will be required. Activities will be throughout the library to provide the necessary social distancing. Registration required.
*Santa Claus (New Douglas) is Coming to Town at New Douglas Community Center (209 S. Main St). Bring your list and visit Santa. They will be collecting canned food for our Christmas Basket. You are welcome to bring food items but not required.
*Light-Up Parade will have a 12 days of Christmas theme. More details to come.
Dashin’ Thru The Lights 5K will have cookies and hot chocolate after the event. Cost is $15 per participant. Must pre-register by Nov. 28th in person at the Rox-Arena, by mail, or on signupville.com/roxana. At 2 Park Drive.
The Elf Walk is some holly jolly fun in Downtown Granite City. What’s an Elf Walk you ask? Its a family friendly afternoon filled with holiday themed games, music, contests, and loads of fun! Enjoy: The Candy Stroll

Come to the Wildey Theatre for aCookie Decorating party
Each child will receive 4 sugar cookies to decorate. Registration is required. Spots limited. To register call the Tri Township Library at (618)667-2133 or private message on Facebook.
Come to the Wildey Theatre Christmas Shoppe for some holiday fun and gift making! There are two offerings this year. Choose either or both.
ELVES WORKSHOP Ages Kindergarten- 5th grade
$12 a child
Pre-Registration Required (registration opening soon)
Parent drops off their child for a two hour slot so kids can craft their gifts.
SANTA'S SECRET STORE Age 3 and up
Adult brings child to the workshop entrance, puts money in an envelope provided at the door, and the elves take it from there. Elves help child shop for those marked on the envelope. Together they "wrap" each gift and meet the parent back at the door.
Arctic Express has professional photo with Santa, a ride on a trackless train, cocoa/coffee, arctic sculptures created by children in the community, a professional chainsaw artist carve a tree in the Discovery Garden, reindeer food, and a new exhibit. Wristbands to the event cost $5 per person over 1 yrs old. They can be purchased either by booking a photo time or on the website.
Cookie Decorating Class is a beginner level class to decorate 6 cookies. Register for class on website and clicking on Christmas/Santa Cookie Decorating Class. $45 Event will take place at the KC Hall in Highland.
Breakfast with Santa is at the Wood River Round House (633 Wood River Ave). Adult breakfast is $4 per person and includes 3 Pancakes, 2 Sausage Patties & Juice, Milk or Coffee. Child breakfast is $3.oo per person and includes 2 Pancakes, 1 Sausage Patties & Juice or Milk
Ugly Christmas Sweater 5K is a fun-filled day that will be sure to get you in the Christmas spirit! There is live music, hot cocoa & cookies, medals, and much more! Wear your ugliest Christmas sweater and get on your running shoes.
Frosty 5K and Merry Mile (Bethalto) is a holiday themed running event. All proceeds will go to the Melissa Cafazza Memorial Scholarship Fund at Civic Memorial High School. Melissa "Missy" was an active community contributor, fitness enthusiast and avid runner. The events will begin near City park. Runners and walkers will enjoy the Holiday themed lights and decorations in and around the park.
Photos and More is at We Rock the Spectrum in Edwardsville. There will be snacks, a photo op, a “snowball fight”, and more! $30/Child. Registration Required. Call or message on facebook to reserve a spot.
at the Holiday Shores Clubhouse (#1 Holiday Point Parkway Edwardsville, IL)and have breakfast prepared by Foundry Boathouse. $10 per adult an $5 per child. Bring a canned food item for local food pantries and get an entry to win a scooter. Activities for the kids include decorating cookies and ornaments. Winter Wonderland Extravaganza with Santa, Mrs. Claus, Olaf, and Kristoff. Takes place at the Leclaire Room. Each child will receive a professional digital photo with Santa & Mrs. Claus by professional photographer, snacks, and cookies with milk. Each paid admission will also receive a stocking to fill with goodies as they visit each station – Kristoff & Olaf, Santa & Mrs. Claus, DIY igloo photo booth, create your own reindeer food, ornament making, and letters to Santa. Paid admission will also allow access to the Christmas Vendor Marketplace. $40
